Controversial lawyer and activist Miguna Miguna has vowed to return to the country on Tuesday November 16, 2021.
Miguna said that he will return home even though the court declined to lift red alerts against him that were served to two airlines.
Through his lawyers, Miguna sought to have the alerts lifted to enable him to travel home.
Judge Hedwig Ong’undi however declined Miguna’s request saying that there was no evidence to prove that the government had imposed red alerts against him.
Miguna said that due to the alerts, Lufhansa and Air France had barred him from boarding their planes to Kenya.
He shared screenshots to confirm that the airlines had been requested to bar Miguna from boarding their flights.
“On 7 Jan. 2020, @airfrancepublished WRITTEN CONFIRMATION that it had received a “Request from Kenyan authorities to deny me boarding. It also confirmed that @lufthansa had received the same. I do not know what was placed before Ong’udi J. But this is evidence,” Miguna said in a tweet.

The lawyer however said that he will not hesitate to travel back to the country since he has a valid court order of 2018.
âI will proceed with my journey as previously communicated and in accordance with Justice Chacha Mwita’s Order of December 14, 2018, and Justice Weldon Korir’s Order of January 6, 2020,â Miguna said.
He further said that he will continue fighting for his rights if the government blocks him from returning to the country.
âIf I am blocked again, the matter will return to court. If not, see you soon. Viva!â he said.
Miguna said that he already booked his flight tickets and will embark on his journey to Kenya on Monday.
“These are my flight details on @airfrance AF 836, Airbus A320, from Berlin-Paris-Nairobi on Monday, November 15, 2021. I’ll update everyone on November 15, 2021, if @airfrance stops me from boarding because of the RED ALERTS by @StateHouseKenya,” tweeted Miguna.
