Lawyer Miguna Miguna while addressing the media at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport said that he was very grateful for being allowed back into his motherland.
The controversial lawyer expressed his gratitude to all Kenyans who stood with not only him but also with the Bill of Rights as enshrined in the constitution. The lawyer also thanked Kenyan voters for supporting the current regime, admitting that he would not stop his foot in Kenya if Azimio won.
Below was part of Miguna’s full speech at JKIA even as he revealed that he will give more dossiers to Kenyans in the coming weeks and months:
“You have stood with the course of justice, you have stood with democracy, You have stood with the principles of the rule of law. I would like to extend my gratitude to the judiciary that stood firm on the side of the rule of law. I must extend my gratitude to Kenyan voters who overwhelmingly voted for the Kenya Kwanza government because that is central for me.”
“Without this administration I would not be back home for sure. I am thanking His Excellency the president, the deputy president and his administration and everybody else who has worked tirelessly to make sure that my rights are protected and the rights of every other Kenya.”
Miguna also stated that whatever he went through should never happen to any person, adding that no one ought to be discarded from their motherland like a dog.
“What has happened to me should never have happened to anyone else. A Kenyan born citizen cannot be discarded, remove forcefully from the country and punished in a foreign land. Alright? There are more that I will say in the coming days and hopefully in the coming weeks and months but for now I just want to say how grateful I am, the media fraternity you are here in large numbers I thank you, I don’t take it for granted and let’s hope that we engage in the coming days.”
