Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka is one of the people who have commanded the political field in the country for a very long time.
The country’s 10th vice president was born and raised in Mwingi, Kitui county and is the kingpin of Ukambani, when it comes to matters of politics. He has been in politics since 1983 when he first vied for the Mwingi North parliamentary seat but lost to his opponent.
Musyoka is married to Pauline Musyoka. The two met in the 1970s while they were still students. Their relationship blossomed and saw them get married in 1985.
The couple was blessed with four children namely, Kennedy, klein, Damaris and Kevin Muasya
Kennedy Musyoka
He is the first born of the family currently aged 35 years. He serves as a member of parliament at the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA). Kennedy was nominated for the position in 2017 by his father’s party Wiper.
Before that, he had kept a low profile and was not in the limelight.
He attended Brookhouse school in Lang’ata. He has two Bachelor’s degrees, one in International Affairs, Politics and Public Affairs from the University of Newcastle, Australia and the second one in Law from UoN.
Kevin Muasya
He comes after Kennedy. He studied at Makini academy before proceeding to Sunshine Secondary school.
He holds a Bachelors in business and Commerce from, Monash University in Australia.
Previously, he has served as the credit analyst and customer service officer at Co-operative bank and Director of the Tourism Regulatory Authority.
He is the CEO of the Akamba vernacular radio station Athiani FM. Kevin is looking forward to following his father’s footsteps in politics and is currently the running mate of Kitui gubernatorial hopeful Kiema Kilonzo.
Damaris Musenya
The Musyoka family has only one daughter identified as Damaris. Just like her father and elder brother Kennedy, she is also a lawyer having graduated from Leeds University in 2018. She proceeded with her Masters studies in International Human Rights at the same institution.
She was a student of Kianda in Westlands between 2010 and 2013 and later proceeded to Brookhouse School.
She is said to have worked at the Central Bank of Kenya, CEREBRA(an international charity organization), Brand Ambassador for the NCUK and Digital Marketing Strategist for Leeds Women in Leadership Society’s inaugural conference.
Klein Kalonzo
He is the last born in the family. Klein is an artist having launched his music career in 2014. His stage name is K-Deuce.
He is said to have his own recording label known as Heart Beats Studios in which he is also the producer.
He studied journalism at the University of Nairobi and graduated in 2014.
