Education CS Ezekiel Machogu finally introduced his wife, Jemimah Machogu, to Kenyans.
Machogu introduced his better half on Friday November 24, during a graduation ceremony at Taita Taveta University.
His wife accompanied him at the institution where he was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate.
“The accolade serves as a pleasant surprise and a profound source of inspiration as it encourages me to stride further in my commitment to educational excellence and national development; I am indeed grateful that my service to this great nation, ranging from my humble beginnings in the Provincial Administration, is getting recognised in a great way.
“It is with a profound sense of duty and optimism that I promise to live up to the expectations of this honorary doctoral degree. I pledge to champion policies that ensure our educational system is robust, inclusive, and forward-looking. Our focus will be on nurturing critical thinking, innovation, and skills development to prepare our youth for the challenges,” he said during his speech.
However during the introduction, the CS went a step further revealing that they are blessed with 5 children, two boys and three girls.
He further said that their three children are medical doctors while the other two are currently outside the country.
One of his son’s, Paul Machogu, is a lawyer who served as a key aide of the late, former CS of Education, George Magoha.
“When Magoha was appointed the [Education] CS three-and-a-half years ago, he picked a young man, who was a lecturer at the University of Nairobi in the Faculty of Law, [as his key aide]. That young man happens to be my son, Paul Machogu. Magoha walked with Machogu Junior every step of the way,” the Education CS opened up during Magoha’s requiem mass in Nairobi.
Machogu’s wife is the vice chair of the Kijauri sub-county hospital in Nyamira. She is an alumni of Mukumu girls high school
