Currently, the longest singing record stands at 105 hours.
The record was set by Sunil Waghmare in Nagpur, India from 3 to 7 March in 2012.
“The record attempt started at 11.06am on 3 March, with a variety of popular Indian songs being sung. No song was repeated within a 4 hour period. The attempt ended on the evening of 7 March after which Mr Waghmare joined in with a sing song with his supporters,” Guinness World Record reveals.
Ghanaian media personality and entrepreneur Afua Asantewaa Aduonum is now looking forward to sing for more than 105 hours.
Afua, who is a producer of reality TV show, has been singing nonstop for the past four days and is currently past the 105hour mark. She is set to sing for 4 days and 9 hours.
Her singing marathon began at the midnight of December 24.
The mother of two has been performing Ghanaian songs and has received immense support from her countrymen including politicians and top artists.
“105 hours previous record Milestone Reached. More hours to break this record. Thank you all so much for your prayers and unwavering support. This is history in the making🇬🇭,” read a post that was shared on her Instagram account.

Her intentions to participate in the marathon are purely to promote local music so that it can reach the standards of the neighboring countries.
The Ghanaian songs she has been singing cuts across from the old ones to the current generation.
