MC Jessy Spares Himself From People’s Wrath As CS Namwamba Is Heckled

Date:

MC Jessy is making headlines after he bravely showed that he is standing with citizens amid Finance Bill Protests, although he supported Kenya Kwanza in the last General elections.

The comedian wittily braved the crowd that would have turned against him with heckling.

“Where would I be now? What would you be doing to me? Ababu Nawambwa ng’o!!!.”

Below is a clip of his jokes.

The comedian was speaking during the Last Laugh, a comedy event organized by comedians to honor Fred Omondi who passed away mid this month in a road accident.

He further didn’t spare Namwamba, the CS for Sports and Youth Affairs. Efforts by Churchil to save the situation proved futile.

“Mheshimiwa Ababu Namwamba, wewe unalead the creative economy, na umeangaliwa hawa watu, hawa watu hawataki mchezo, hata creative economy hatutaki mchezo. First of all ametoa pesa ngapi? 300(K) na ni yetu. This is what we are going to do, kuna kitu inaitwa talanta hela ama ni talanta hewa, Mheshimiwa Ababu Namwamba, sababu uliona huko online, saa zingine wasanii wanatoa ta, tao tano, mia tano, si kupenda kwetu,” he said as Juliani’s song Utawala was played.

MC Jessy told the CS that he had contributed peanuts  and they needed more from him to give Fred Omondi a descent send off. According to him, he was certain that Fred met his death when he had not earned a coin from talanta hela.

During the event, Ababu Namwamba didn’t get a chance to conclude his speech as the crowd heckled at him, chanting “Ruto must go.” Churchil had to intervene but all was in vain, forcing Namwamba to take his seat.
