NTV news anchor and presenter Mark Masai opened up on his life and some of his fondest memories while growing up.
In an interview at the station, Masai revealed that one thing he will never miss carrying wherever he goes is his inhaler.
“My inhaler, I need it, because I need it to breathe,” Masai said.
He also said that his daughter, Nashipai (meaning happiness in English), was the best gift he had ever received in life.
Speaking about his career, the journalist said that if he had not become a journalist then he would be a basketball player alongside Stephen Curry even though he was once a singer.
Masai noted that singing was his fondest childhood memory. Together with his foster brother, they were part of the African choir. They were introduced to the group by his foster Mary Wright and the three of them would travel around singing.
The highlight of his singing career was during a trip that the three of them made to the United States whereby he was exposed to a lot of things.
“The choir experience of touring the States was awesome,” Maasai recalled.
He however stopped singing but said that he still loves music since he was brought up in a family that loved music.
