After informing the Barcelona hierarchy of his determination to leave Camp Nou this summer, Messi performed a u-turn and stated he will stay because he didn’t want to take the club to court.
In a damning message to Barcelona, Messi expressed his unhappiness with president Josep Maria Bartomeu and called for changes to happen.
And the fall-out from Messi’s comments could mean the departure of Griezmann.
The France striker joined last summer for £107million and was expected to play an intergral role in the attack alongside Messi and Luis Suarez.
According to sources , with Messi seemingly on his way out, new manager Ronald Koeman promised Griezmann that he would build the team around him.

Messi’s decision has now scuppered those plans and Barcelona are looking at ways to raise funds for a reshuffle.
The report says Griezmann’s position is now ‘vulnerable’ and Liverpool, United and Arsenal, who have held an interest in him before would consider a move for him if the price is right.
Ivan Rakitic has already been sold to Sevilla while Suarez is on the verge of joining Juventus.
Speaking on Friday, Messi explained why he decided to end his attempts to leave Barcelona.
“I’d never take Barca to trial because it’s the club I love and that’s given me everything since I joined,” Messi said.
