A restaurant in China’s capital, Changsha, has banned a man from entering its premises because of eating too much.
The man who was only identified as Kang, told a local television that the Handadi Seafood BBQ Buffet had blacklisted him.
Kang said that he ate more than three pounds of pork trotters during an first visit, and between seven and nine pounds of shrimp in another sitting.
He has however accused the restaurant of discriminating against those with large appetites.
“I can eat a lot – is that a fault?” Kang posed.
The owner of the restaurant complained that Kang eats too much and whenever he visits, he loses money.
“Even when he drinks soy milk, he can drink 20 or 30 bottles. When he eats the pork trotters, he consumes the whole tray of them. And for prawns, usually, people use tongs to pick them up, he uses a tray to take them all,” the owner lamented.
The story has been trending in social media in the country with some criticizing the owner for opening a restaurant and yet he can not provide enough food.
The incident comes at a time when President Xi Jin Ping has called upon the national to avoid wasting food over fear of food shortage in the country.
