Royal Media Services Director of Strategy and Innovations Linus Kaikai has called out on the former LSK president Nelson Havi for spreading lies about RMS Chairman S.K Macharia.
Through a tweet shared on Monday, Havi claimed that Macharia had directed the cancellation of his interview that was supposed to take place on Tuesday morning at Hot 96.
“The owner of Royal Media Services has called his producers and directors to cancel my appearance. Two light weight commentators will replace me. My sincere apologies for the censorship.” Havi wrote.
Responding to the tweet, Kaikai simply said, “Entry-Level Lie @NelsonHavi.”
Mark Bichachi, a Communication strategist and Evans Ogada who is an advocate graced the breakfast show, hosted by Jeff Koinange and Nick Odhiambo.
In a tweet promoting the interview, Havi had looked forward to a discussion on the Amendment of the Elections Bill which is seeking to do away with the electronic transmission of poll results.
“The spinning of the intention of the Elections (Amendment) Bill, 2022 must be countermanded authoritatively. Join us tomorrow(Tuesday) morning as we expose the scheming saboteurs of the universal suffrage and the expression of the will of the People of Kenya to elect their President,” a tweet by Havi read.
A number of Twitter users however believe that Macharia is associated with ODM and that there are several allies of DP William Ruto that have been banned from the RMS-owned stations,
“Just like Kimunya,Kaikai is another one used like tissue paper by sk. we know many other leaders banned for being affiliated to Dp,” Davis Njagi shared his opinion.
“Citizen should change name to Azimio TV. Your bias is too obvious both in political interviews and news coverage. You should always remember that even those who don’t support Raila are your viewers,” Munuhe Kibuhi said.
“I think RMS is taking a political gamble because they’ve taken sides to support Azimio, now tell me if things go south what will they do coz definitely they’ll be strangled off cash… remember the boss was to pay kshs300m as ordered by the courts last year,” Jtt Wang said.
