A female police officer chopped off a Lawyer’s hand in Wote, Makueni over an alleged altercation between the two.
It’s been alleged that the Lawyer in question, one Mr. Onesmus Masaku tried to rape the policewoman after luring her inside his house.
According to a police report seen by Musyi FM, the young lawyer invited the female officer to his house on the premises that he wanted to introduce his girlfriend.
Police said the lawyer lied to the policewoman by luring her into his house and tried to rape her but the officer allegedly chopped off his hands in self-defense.
She also sustained injuries and was taken to Makueni Referral Hospital where she was treated and discharged.
Reports however indicate that the lawyer is in serious condition.
The incident attracted backlash from the public with some calling for action to be taken against police officers who have overstayed in the town.
“Wote Makueni county Station has officers who have overstayed service. An incident yesterday of a female officer who cut a lawyer’s arm is the town talk,” said Eembuta Ulakituu.

The policewoman, Nancy Njeri is set to be arraigned in court on Friday, October 9, following the incident that happened on Wednesday.
Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi denied reports that the lawyer tried to rape the female police officer.
“Police in Makueni are complicit in the attempted murder of Lawyer Onesmus Masaku by Policewoman Nancy Nyeri.
“The two are known lovers and Njeri attempted to kill him after he refused to accede to her demands for marriage. Nancy Njeri should be arrested and charged,” read a statement from Havi.
