Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi felt the wrath of Kenyans on Twitter after sharing an old video of DP William Ruto’s campaigns claiming that it was taken from Vihiga.
DP Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza brigade comprising of Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang’ula including several leaders toured Vihiga county on Sunday February 6, 2022.
“Prof @makaumutua…Vihiga today…Hon@MusaliaMudavadi is on very solid home ground…I like the guy!” Ahmednasir shared on Twitter.
In the video, there was a massive crowd cheering and singing ‘Yote Yawzekana bila Baba’. Mudavadi, who was holding the microphone, is seen enjoying the moment to the fullest.

It however emerged that the video was taken in Eldama Ravine about two weeks ago just days after the ‘earthquake’ that saw UDA, ANC and Ford Kenya join hands.
A number of twitter users criticized him for sharing a video that was taken during the first joint rally of the three political parties in Baringo county.
“Really SC? First joint rally in Nakuru almost two weeks ago and you transport to VIHIGA?” James Ole Kiyapi responded to the lawyer’s tweet.
“Hahaha… Vihiga? SC, please avoid whatever you have started taking recently. It is getting worse,” Raila Tosha’s comment read.
“You deliberately SHARED the video. Good enough we have called you out. We know you know that the video is an old clip from RUTO’s backyard in Eldama ravine but you shared anyway. As I said, YOU are the biggest propaganda machinery for UDA. Your prowess is now UNMATCHED!” Lord Abraham Mutai said.
Due to to the pressure, Ahmednasir was forced to apologize for the mix-up saying that it was from Eldama Ravine.
“Sorry. Correction. @DonaldBKipkorir who is an expert in UDA rallies informs me the video I posted is not today’s rally in vihiga but is a two weeks old one held in Eldama Ravine…apparently he tells me he recognized some faces from his school days! My apologies for the mix-up!” Ahmednasir tendered his apology.
The lawyer is believed to be among the staunchest supporters of DP Ruto but in an interview last month he denied supporting the second in command.
“”I’m not running for office. I’m a private citizen with small law practice. I have not declared my stand. I’m neutral 100%. I have not endorsed DP Ruto or any other politician yet 40% of ODM’s and its attack dogs direct their anger, frustrations, despair at me, why?” he posed.
