President Uhuru Kenyatta shortly left the Kasarani stadium after he performed his constitutional duties of handing over power to the newly elected head of state William Ruto.
When Uhuru left Kasarani, it was clear that he was headed to the state house where he would receive Ruto following the smooth transition of power at Kasarani.
As the norm dictates, Mr. Kenyatta was to passby statehouse and wait for Ruto where they would have lunch together before he vacated the statehouse in a KDF chopper while bidding citizens goodbye just like the late Moi and the late Kibaki did.
President Moi in an emotional sendoff boarded the Kenya Defense Forces Chopper that flew him all the way to His Rural home in Baringo county.
On his side, president Uhuru was on his way to the statehouse from Kasarani but he shockingly passed the gate without entering the facility.
It has now emerged that Uhuru Kenyatta had had enough at Kasarani where he was humiliated by president Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua before the international community.
Ruto and Gachagua made statements that were directly meant to provoke Mr. Kenyatta at Kasarani as they continuously blamed state agencies for their woes before the elections.
At some point, the visibly angry Rigathi Gachagua took Mr. Uhuru head on at Kasarani by revealing how he was a dictator who never cared about freedom. Gachagua while reiterating freedom was finally in Kenya recalled how the outgoing president Uhuru allegedly arrested him for associating with Ruto.
Hence, it was not imaginable that president Uhuru would share a table with Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua who openly humiliated him at Kasarani before the whole world.
Even the presence of the Turkish billionaire Mr. Harun Aydin is said to have made Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta change his mind and just pass the statehouse gate since he could not imagine sharing a table with the same people he had deported at some point. Mr. Aydin was amongst the invited guests that attended the luncheon at statehouse after swearing in Ruto.
Those around the outgoing president further revealed that boycotting the statehouse was the best move by Mr. Kenyatta because the environment was going to be too toxic for him to bear. In other words, he was going to be a lonely man before the eyes of Mr. Ruto and Rigathi.
