The controversial International Criminal Court (ICC) Witness lawyer Paul Gicheru has been reportedly found dead in his Nairobi house.
According to reports, lawyer Paul Gicheru was okay before he mysteriously collapsed and died on the spot while his son equally got hospitalized. Besides, there is no news that he was sick which has left many Kenyans wondering what might have killed him.
Gicheru was facing witness interference charges and his death may as well imply that the case at the ICC is as good as dead.
On November 2, 2020, Paul Gicheru surrendered to Dutch authorities pursuant to an ICC arrest warrant sealed on March 10, 2015 and unsealed on September 10, 2015. On November 3, 2020, Paul Gicheru was handed over to the custody of the International Criminal Court after completing the prescribed national procedures.
In the meantime, Kenyans were two months ago taken aback by the mysterious death of a potential Hague based International Criminal Court (ICC) witness Mr. Christopher Koech.
Christopher Koech who was teaching at Khaunga Primary School in Mumias died on Sunday evening at the Kakamega County Referral Hospital a few minutes after he was admitted at the facility.
According to a local publication, Mr. Koech went to school on his motorbike on Saturday and spent about an hour there before he left hurriedly for an undisclosed destination. He would later be found lying on the side of a road next to his motorbike near Shibuli market sweating profusely with foam on his mouth, raising questions whether he was poisoned
