Kirinyaga Women Rep Wangui Ngirici threatened to quit Ruto’s UDA after picking up a fight with Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika and Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa.
Wangui Ngirici and her husband Andrew Ngirici on Friday October 8th threatened to quit United Democratic Alliance (UDA) during a rally in Ndia constituency.
The Kirinyaga Women Rep has declared her interest to vie for governor in 2022 and if Waiguru joins UDA it complicates things for her.
She was particularly angry at her colleagues in UDA Nakuru Senator and Malindi MP who appear to be supporting Waiguru.
The Ngiricis are now warming up to President Uhuru Kenyatta who doesn’t see eye to eye with his deputy Ruto.
Husband and wife recently met Interior PS Karanja Kibicho in a rare show of unity ahead of Mashujaa Day celebration set to be held in Kirinyaga.
Our Unity of Purpose as Kirinyaga People to be real must stand the severest strain without breaking remembering that we are each other’s business, magnitude and bond. We will not be separated in interest or divided in purpose.#Kirinyaga_kwanza pic.twitter.com/TMYo9XBM1f

On Monday October 12th the Kirinyaga Women Rep posted a portrait of President Kenyatta welcoming him to Mashujaa Day Celebrations to be held in her home county.
Andrew Ngirici has also come out to assure the government that he will do everything to ensure the Mashujaa Day celebrations go on peacefully, this after Interior PS Karanja Kibich said he had received information that some people are planning to disrupt the celebration.
PS Kibicho, who also hails from Kirinyaga, raised alarm that he has received intelligence about a plot by some politicians to cause chaos during the 20th October Mashujaa Day Celebration.
Andrew Ngirici has since vowed to mobilize residents from Kirinyaga to repulse the trouble makers who would dare disrupt the event.
“We are ready to confront outsiders. We don’t fear them. We shall not allow anyone to embarrass the head of state,” Mr. Ngirici stated.
Mr. Ngirici has also called on people to pull down down advertisement billboards to allow Mashujaa Day branding.
“To fellow kirinyaga advertisers; Cognizant to the fact that this is the last Mashujaa day under H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta , and the last to be held in counties let us make it as befitting as possible.
“I kindly plead with all of us to give a 7- days leeway to allow the Mashujaa branding to be done by pulling down all the advertisement billboards in different parts of kirinyaga. I will lead by example and pull mine down for 7 days . I plead with you all to do the same .
“As mirrored by the spirit of kirinyaga people , peace, progress, prosperity and development of the county and country remain the end means.
“We unanimously welcome H. E the President, Uhuru Kenyatta to Wang’uru for mashujaa celebrations,” wrote Mr. Ngirici.
