The Kikuyu office of the National Assembly’ minority leader and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwah has been set ablaze in the ongoing nationwide demosntrations against finance bill 2024.
Footages shared online shows the building engulfed in smoke.
Also not spared are two cars that had been parked outside the building.

A similar situation was witnessed on Igembe south, where the office of MP John Paul Mwirigi’s office was also burnt to ashes.
The two leaders are among the 204, who voted yes to the finance bill, sailing it through to the second reading.
The Finance bill 2024 has however been passed during the second reading, with 195 voting yes to it, 105 voted No while three votes were spoiled.
The bill will now proceed to the third reading.
