A video of president William Ruto Cheekily pulling nominated senator Gloria Orwoba’s cheeks has left Kenyan talking.
This happened when the Government was briefing Kenyans on the changes on the Finance Bill 2024 after an early morning parliamentary group meeting on Tuesday.
In the video, those present seemed to be a bit disorganized with the National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichung’wah asking them to move a little bit behind to provide enough room for speakers.
In the process, Ruto turned behind, briefly addressed Orwoba before pulling her cheeks and the two leaders laughed as they further conversed.

Several Kenyans bashed the two leaders for behaving that way in public while others castigated Orwoba for supporting finance bill that sought to tax pads and diapers, yet she had been a vocal champion for menstrual health. Here are some of the reactions the video attracted;
