Juliani has been receiving death threats after with his relationship with governor Alfred Mutua’s ex wife Lillian Ng’ang’a was made public. His ordeal is reminiscent of late Tony Ogunda who eloped with Raphael Tuju’s wife Ruth Akinyi.
Juliani ultimately came out to confirm his relationship with Lillian after he was threatened by someone who called and texted him.
The rapper categorically stated that he didn’t steal anyone’s wife and that Lillian is with her in her own free volition.
“How now can you “iba mtu”?! An intelligent adult with a sound mind. The call/text threat on my life today, NOT funny! “ulinyang’anyana” narrative is false, tired, juicy headlines tu. Kindly STOP!,” Juliani posed.
Juliani’s ordeal is is reminiscent of late GSU officer Tony Ogunda who eloped with Raphael Tuju’s wife Ruth Akinyi.
Tuju broke up with Akinyi after she cheated on him with Ogunda. The Jubilee party secretary general instituted divorce proceedings against his estranged wife on grounds of open adultery that was subjecting him to shame.
In his divorce papers, Tuju claimed Akinyi was cheating with a ‘mannerless’ young man whom she brought to their matrimonial bed while he was committed away from home.
While the divorce process was still going on in court, Akinyi and Ogunda were staying together in one of Tuju’s apartments in Upper Hill.
One time security guards manning Tuju’s apartment in Upper Hill tipped him that Akinyi and Ogunda had just entered the house and he showed up with his bodyguards who roughed up the GSU officer.
Ogunda was later handed to police who charged him with trespassing. His sweetheart Akinyi bailed him out after spending a night as guest of the state.
Court finally dissolved Tuju and Akinyi’s marriage in early 2013, marking an end to their 27 year union which saw them blessed with three kids.
Months after the official divorce, Ogunda’s lifeless body was found in a house in Nairobi’s Upper Hill area on July 2nd 2013.
According to police, Ogunda and his friend Collins Okoth went out drinking before they returned home to the latter’s house in one of Tuju’s properties.
A postmortem report by then government pathologist Dr. Peter Ndegwa revealed that Ogunda had trauma to his head which is consistent with a blunt force. He also had internal bleeding to the brain.
Tuju was among suspects police interviewed following Ogunda’s death, the Jubilee secretary general however had an alibi because he was away in Johannesburg, South Africa at the time of the death.
Some people believed Tuju could have hired hitmen to take out Ogunda and then leave the country before his death so that it couldn’t be pinned on him.
Ogunda’s troubled love affair with Akinyi is reminiscent of Juliani’s current predicament where his life is being threatened for dating governor Mutua’s ex wife Lillian.
Some people have been calling on the gospel rapper to draw lessons from Ogunda’s demise and make wise decisions.
