On Wednesday Kenyans experienced a long power outage in various parts of the country including Nairobi and South Nyanza.
Other areas experiencing power blackout in the country are Western Kenya and Rift Valley.
In a notice to its customers, Kenya’s power said the company was experiencing a technical hitch that affected its two major supplying power to the affected areas.
“We would like to apologize to our customers that we are experiencing a power outage in parts of Nairobi, Rift Valley, Western Kenya, and South Nyanza following a technical hitch that has affected two major lines supplying power to these areas,” the national power retailer said in a statement.

“An update on restoration progress will be issued in the due cause,” Kenya Power said.
