Michael Warutere, the top candidate in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination, has been rewarded with a three-day holiday package to Mombasa.
There were exuberant celebrations to the family of Michael Warutere, top candidate in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination after he received a fully paid three-day holiday package.
Warutere received the good news on Thursday November 23 after topping KCPE exams with 428 marks in the results announced by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu.
He was awarded the fully-sponsored trip to the Coast by Viutravel as recognition for his remarkable performance.
Annette White, the Guest Relations Officer at Viutravel, delivered the package.

Speaking after receiving the reward, Warutere attributed his stellar performance to discpline and proper balance.
The top KCSE candidate aspires to a Software Engineer.
“You have to balance your time properly. Because you cannot always be on your books. Have time to study as well as time to exercise so that your brain can process information properly and in the end you will achieve success,” said Warutere.
