Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza and Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi were involved in a heated exchange on Facebook.
This is after Itumbi said that he would respond to questions that Kawira Mwangaza threw at him in a presence conference after the office of the Director of Public Prosecution approved the prosecution of her brother, in the murder of Meru blogger Sniper.
In his response to Mwangaza, Itumbi also quoted a bible verse.
“John 8:32, And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. #Justice for sniper. My response to questions thrown my way in that press conference- Saturday 20th January, 2023,” Itumbi wrote on Facebook.
In the comments section, Mwangaza dragged Jackie Maribe, while telling off Itumbi that he doesn’t know matters of her county.
“Pambana na Maribe na Jowi. Ya Meru huwezani nkts,” she told him point blank.
Replying to her commnet, Itumbi said, “True ya Meru sijui lakini mambo ya freedom of expression hio najua and I will follow it until we get #JusticeforSniper. Asante kwa maswali. Kesho nitajbu. As for Maribe the fight for justice is still on,” he said.
In the press conference, Kawira Mwangaza’s husband Murega Baichu demanded Itumbi to provide evidence that Sniper was a big critic of Mwangaza’s administration.
“Dennis Itumbi, ye amekuwa akiandika kwamba Sniper ni big critic wa serikali ya Kawira Mwangaza. Hebu Itumbi produce videos ambazo Sniper alikuwa akikicritic Kawira Mwangaza ama Murega Baichu ama hii serikali. Hizo videos ziko wapi, where are they?” he posed.
The guitarist further noted that one of the persons that Sniper used to criticize in his blogs is Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi,
