DP William Ruto has hit back at ODM Raila Odinga who has been questioning the source of the millions he is always giving out in his campaigns.
DP Ruto said that the Kshs2 million is too small while promising to give out more money this year once he claims the presidential seat.
“I have conducted a women’s Harambee in this county, For the boda boda riders as well until the Kitendawilli person asking where William Ruto is getting money from. He says that I have given mama mboga Kshs2 million the boda boda riders too.
“Stop complaining about the Kshs2 million Mr. Kitendawili, it is too small. This year we are going to give Kshs50 billion government money to small businesses,” Ruto said during the Kenya Kwanza rally in Voi, Taita Taveta county.
Ruto further teared into Raila Odinga claiming that he is not poor. at the same time bashing those who look down upon small business.
“Do you think the kitendawili guy does not have money? His company is selling alcohol that is finishing our children. He has a gas company but they set up houses in Dubai with their money and South Africa then they come here complaining why we are giving money to Mama mboga,” Ruto further said.
The former prime minister accused the second in command of funding his campaigns with corruption money since his monthly salary is too little to meet his campaigns budget.
“He buys vehicles for bishops and pastors. In a month, he uses Ksh100 million yet his salary is only Ksh2 million. Where does he get that money? That is unlawfully obtained money,” Raila said during an Azimio tour in Trans Nzoia in November last year.
DP Ruto embarked on the campaign trail after a trip in Dubai for a private business in the company of Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi.
While in Dubai DP Ruto paid Moses Kuria a visit in hospital where he is recuperating after undergoing a stem cell surgery on his feet.
“Today I was visited by H.E the Deputy President William Ruto and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi in Dubai. I updated them on my recovery progress and formally invited them to join me and all Kenyans during the February 19th thanksgiving prayer day in Thika” Kuria shared through social media.
