Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka made a bold statement after showing up to protests against President William Ruto’s latest remarks.
Kalonzo arrived in Nairobi CBD at the Supreme Court wearing a traditional robe and a blonde wig.
He was ushered outside the Supreme Court by a group of other lawyers and Law Society of Kenya members.
His presence showed solidarity with LSK who called for peaceful protests against President William Ruto’s sustained attacks against the Judiciary.
Kalonzo and other Kenyans are expected to march from the Supreme Court Grounds in Nairobi, proceeding along Parliament Road to the Office of the President.
Kalonzo’s Presence comes after LSK invited members of the public to join members of the legal community in calling out President Ruto for his utterances, which they insist amount to an attack on the independence of the third arm of government.
“Join the Law Society of Kenya as we peacefully protest this Friday and reaffirm the commitment to defend the independence of the Judiciary and compliance with Court orders,” LSK stated.
