Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has dismissed the narrative that the 2022 presidential contest will be a two-horse race and insisted the race is still open.
In an Interview with a local television Kalonzo maintained that Kenya belongs to all citizens and there are no pre-ordained personalities destined to lead the country.
“Why is it that there is always this negative view that some people were born to support others. Why not the other way round?” asked the Wiper leader, who has supported Raila Odinga in the 2013 and 2017 elections.
Kalonzo Musyoka also took the opportunity to lash out to critics who have been insinuating that the alliance’s breakup is imminent.
The OKA co principal also dismissed the wishful thinking by their critics, saying the alliance is unbreakable with the 2022 polls fast approaching.
Kalonzo said his bond with fellow co-principals Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Gideon Moi goes way past politics, saying that breaking them is just a fantasy.
“This is a group that knows each other, from Gideon Moi to Wetangula, Mudavadi, to myself. First, we had to bond, we are brothers, and we are actually our brother’s keeper,” stated Kalonzo.
