The Jubilee purge in the senate continued on Tuesday evening after the party announced changes in its house committee.
The move was however seemed to push put DP Ruto’s allies from the major house functions and replaced by perceived party loyalists.
The changes in the house were announced by the new senate majority whip – Senator Irungu Kang’ata at the Jubilee headquarters.
The changes saw Senator Christopher Lang’at from Bomet be replaced at House Business Committee by Senator Johnson Sakaja of Nairobi.
Senator Lang’at also lost his place as chair of the Education Committee to Senator Alice Milgo
Senator Samson Cherargei who is a known die-hard supporter of Ruto was removed as the chair of Justice and Legal Affairs Committee.
Meru Senator Linturi Mithika was removed from the powerful Senate County Public Accounts and Investment Committee and replaced by Senator Fatuma Dullo.
