For a better part of Last week, radio presenter and comedian Jalang’o was a subject of discussion on twitter.
This is after an author, Collins Sakwa Ongoma, slammed him and his colleague Kamene Goro, for using his work without giving him credits thus causing a heated discussion on twitter.Â
Sakwa complained that instead of the presenters mentioning his name just to appreciate him for the work, they opted to refer to him as ‘that guy’ and that deeply hurt him.
This is the second time Jalang’o and Kamene are using my thread stories for their radio Content. It is sad that even after Jalang’o read my thread story and coined his content from it, he still referred to me as ‘A thread from this guy.’
No acknowledgment, no nothing. https://t.co/bPwBwHX2Kl— Author Sakwah Ongoma (@CSakwah) January 19, 2022
Since then, the author has not let the issue go and he has kept complaining about it on twitter.
It has been a week since @Kiss100kenya employees used my work, which I had shared with my online readers.
I complained. They have not reached out to me to offer an apology or an explanation why they disregarded and violated my rights as the creator of the story.— Author Sakwah Ongoma (@CSakwah) January 26, 2022
Assuming that someone at a higher table, 15 years ago, took advantage of Felix Odour, the fishmonger on the left frame, would this country have realized Jalang’o, on the right, one of Kenya’s best entertainers of our generation?

On seeing that Sakwa is not going to give up until the presenters address his concerns, Jalang’o has decided to offer Sakwa a deal.
The Lang’ata parliamentary seat hopeful has invited Sakwa for an interview on Tuesday next week as a compensation.
“@CSakwahLets close this on air! Lets host you on Tuesday Next week 9am @Kiss100kenyaKuja!! Lets sell your books and know more about you!! Then host you on Jalang’o Tv ! Lets make this bigger!!” Jalang’o said via a tweet.
