Former Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe has landed a new assignment days after she was acquitted in the Monica Kimani murder case
In a statement shared by Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi, Maribe has secured a lucrative role in the Public Service. The Former Television presenter has been appointed as Head of Communications at the Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management
‘In a congratulatory message to Maribe, Itumbi also appreciated Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria for acquiring the services of the former TV presenter
“Congratulations, Jacque Maribe. May God bless you as you serve. Asante Moses Kuria for standing with a generation, please keep doing good and stretching your hand,” Itumbi wrote.
By the time of this publication, Maribe had not commented on her appointment. However, she shared on her Instagram stories an interview Moses Kuria was slated to attend on Monday, March 11.
The appointment comes after she spent over five years in the docks after she was accused of conspiring with Joseph Irungu alias Jowie in the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani
Justice Grace Nzioka found Jowie guilty of the gruesome murder and set Maribe free. The judge blamed the prosecution for doing a shoddy job regarding Maribe’s involvement in the alleged murder scheme.
Following her acquittal, Maribe pointed out that the truth had vindicated her. While quoting a biblical verse from John 8: 32, Maribe said, “Actually I have nothing to say but for you shall know the truth and it shall set you free.”
