Musician and East Africa’s number one entrepreneur Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee is a true definition of never give up.
It is evident in her throwback photos, that she had not always had that luxurious lifestyle that she parades on her social media.

According to a post she shared on her IG account, Akothee says that she was broken first before she was built and also opened up on her wedding that cost only Kshs.2000
“THE ONLY WOMAN THAT DOESN’T NEED DNA ! NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER QUIT! KEEP PUSHING ?I was broken before I was built! On my big wedding day,” the mother of five said, accompanying her message with a wedding day photo.
She added that the wedding had to happen since her husband, Jared Okello, was travelling to the US and if he had the marriage certificate, it would be easier for his family to visit him.
“We had to do this wedding because ,my husband was to travel to Bahamas! He wanted to go with our marriage certificate so it will be easy for him to invite us? ?, I was looking forward to step into AMERICA like This ??????????????My wedding costed 2000 ksh?We borrowed just one car from A friend ??We were very much in marriage, we brought up our kids on a very strong church background,” she said.

After being together for about 10 years, Akothee and Jared called it quits but they a take care of their three girls together.
In the past, she advised parents seeking divorce to do so in a decent manner so that their children don’t get hurt in the process.
“I would never wish for any parents to divorce after living together for years and bringing up their children as a family. If it ever happens that there is a need to break up, then please try to do it decently without involving your children,”
