Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has is a great supporter of FKF Premier League side AFC Leopards.
Speaking during the Madaraka Day Celebration on Saturday, June 1, 2024, Gachagua revealed that he supported Ingwe in the 1980’s.
He was drawn to supporting AFC Leopards due to the rivalry that existed between them and record 21 FKF Premier League champions Gor Mahia.
Although he does not attend their matches, Gachagua insisted that he is still a great admirer of AFC Leopards.
“Before the advent of Manchester United and Arsenal, we had a great contest in the 80s and 90s between Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards. During that time, I was a fan of football. I was and remain a great supporter of AFC Leopards,” Gachagua stated.
