Comedian Eric Omondi has reminisced the moment he began protesting against Kenya Kwanza government.
The father of two shared a video from two years ago, when he was first arrested and he sought refuge at the top of the police car.
“This was two years ago when we Started the Struggle to Free this Nation from the OUTDATED Systems and Leaders,” he wrote on social media.
Eric said the government mocked him over his efforts but he remained deterred on his cause.
He went on to declare that he was warning the government for the last time against passing the contentious Finance Bill.
“They have called us all sorts of names. They said we were just mere Comedians. They said we were Insignificant Clout Chasers. I told the Government it would not be BUSINESS AS USUAL and they Laughed in my face.
“A lot needs to Change. A Lot has to Change. A Lot will Change. If you keenly Listen to this video you can hear all I was saying is “You Need to Listen to us!”. I will Speak to the Government of the day one last time. LISTEN TO US!!! DO NOT PASS THE FINANCE BILL 2024,” Eric said.
His warning comes ahead of the Finance Bill’s second reading in parliament on Tuesday.
On Friday last week, Eric Omondi was yet again arrested after he showed up at Parliament buildings on a horse, in solo protests against the bill.
Eric said that he went to parliament to warn MPs against passing the bill, having been send by Kenyans.
“They send us to resist the Finance Bill 2024. If the parliament of Kenya passes the Bill, this country will never be the same again that is the message I have been send to tell you. The president should not attempt to sign that bill into ;law, it is punitive inaumiza vijana, mama mboga, watu wa cancer, imeguza pampers mpaka dawa ya watoto,” he said.
