“I Regret Why I Chose UDA” Kenya Kwanza MP Says As He Begs God For Forgveness

Date:

A Kenya Kwanza MP is asking God for forgiveness for supporting the current regime.

The Kapenguria MP, Samuel Moroto,  is worried that his decision might deny him a place in heaven.

According to him, the government is responsible for the never-ending conflicts being witnessed in his area and that is why he regrets being a member of of it.

“The lower part of the region, it is the govt that is triggering conflict and not any other government. It is this government. And am also a member of the UDA, and I regret why I chose it, and it may even cost me a place in heaven, I pray for forgiveness from God,” the MP said,  following clashes that resulted into the deaths of four people.

Moroto said that among those killed is a student who recently concluded his KCSE exams. He pointed a blaming finger to KDF officers that were deployed in the area to restore peace.

“They’re using the equipment they have been given to finish off people who are innocent. I as the area MP have tried so much, including with the area elders, and the churches,” the lawmaker said.

“The current government now is in place. They don’t even move close to people, they use drones to drop bombs and destroy things. The Interior CS only came here once and has never come back,” he further said.
