“I Regret Becoming Popular,” Manzi Wa Kibera Speaks After Being Exposed For Lying About Being Broke

Sheriffa Sharon Wambui popularly known as Manzi wa Kibera is regretting the day she became popular.

This is because she can no longer do the normal things that she used to do like hawking in the streets.

Manzi wa Kibera has been in the headlines recently after she claimed that she was totally broke and could not even afford her 2,500 rent. She also said that sometimes she would go hungry.

In an Instagram post, the Wife Material 2 cast said that she is hardworking and before fame she would hustle just like any other person.

“Am not lazy am very hard working but when I did the interviews I never knew I would become popular…back then I would go and hustle just like any other person but after fame it became so hard to even sell tomatoes on the road because everyone was busy taking my pics and mocking me.

“And about the YouTube channel I never knew if it paid or how it worked. I REGRET BECOMING POPULAR…MY LIFE HAS BECOME SO HARD BECAUSE I CAN NO LONGER DO THE NORMAL THINGS AND TO ALL THOSE SAYING MY LIFE IS OKAY NO IT’S NOT?,” she said.

This comes after YouTuber Eve Mungai and her boyfriend Trevor claimed that Manzi wa Kibera was faking her broke lifestyle to con Kenyans.

Speaking while in Mombasa, Eve asked the public to conduct a research so that they can know the exact situation that Manzi wa Kibera is in.

“It is not good to look for sympathy in a bad way. All these things are done in darkness but one day people will know the truth,” Eve said.

The couple further said that Manzi wa Kibera was lying about going to Germany after landing a job in a restaurant.

The socialite claimed that she was just waiting for her passport to be processed so that she could leave the country for the 6-month contract job.

After her story of being in the difficult situation went viral, a lot of Kenyans have been donating for her foodstuffs,money and one had her rent paid for three months.
