Miguna Miguna has denied claims of being a typical Kenyan politician who shifts alliances based on personal interests.
Miguna who spoke in an interview with KDRTV said that Raila Odinga was the one who was doing that by supporting President Kenyatta.
“Am the only one who has not shifted anything. Number I have told you that Raila is the one who left the struggle. After I was arrested and Raila is the one who conspired with president Uhuru Kenyatta to arrest me and blow up my house and remove me, after torturing me, from Kenya,” Miguna claimed
He added that by Raila accepting to work with president Kenyatta, he surrendered to those who rigged his elections in the past.
He accused the ODM leader of supporting President Kenyatta as he continues to plunge the country into debts for his own benefits adding that he is the one championing for good leadership.
Miguna however insists that he has not changed his perspective on DP William Ruto being corrupt, as he referred to him before, even though he is supporting his presidential candidature.
“I say it is nonsense, because I have not changed. I have called Dr. Ruto corrupt, I still call him corrupt. I did not change, I did not say he is clean, do you understand, I did not say he is good. I am saying Raila is worse, Raila is far worse,” Miguna said.
His decision to support Ruto is informed by the fact that the ODM leader is a betrayer. Miguna said that Raila betrayed him alongside all the people he worked with before.
“Raila betrays his supporters and behaves as if he does not have a brain, maybe he doesn’t. Maybe Uhuru took over his brain and he is just now a puppet the way Uhuru wants us to see him. Raila betrayed Msando, me and everybody he has worked with. Raila is a betrayer, a traitor and somebody who is bad but has not betrayed you which one would you pick. Nobody would pick a traitor,” he explained.
The lawyer further said that supporting the former prime minister will amount to institutionalizing dictatorship.
“Uhuru Kenyatta is the worst dictator since Kenya’a so-called independence. Uhuru Kenyatta should retire and go home but Raila is trying to bring back Uhuru so that he continues to rule through Raila as a puppet,” Miguna said.
