“I am Yet To Believe It” Margaret Wanjiru Emotional As Her Church Is Demolished

Date:

Bishop Margaret Wanjiru of Jesus Alive Ministries has been left in shock after the government that she campaigned for failed to protect her church from being demolished.

Although the circumstances for the partial demolitions remain unclear, Wanjiru pointed blaming fingers at the government, accusing it of wanting to grab her church’s property.

“I wasn’t campaigning for land grabbers to come and start claiming that our church property are their property. We can not lose properties in this country. Ni wengi wamekuja wengine wanasema ni NYS, wengine wanasema ni DCIO, wengine ni polisi, ni wengi.

“So definitely government is involved and it is sad that this is the government that we campaigned for. I am yet to believe that they can do this to me,” the bishop said in an interview with the media.

She added that she campaigned for Kenya Kwanza and UDA in Nairobi and even gave them a vision only for them to pay back by taking what belongs to her.

“I am the one who gave them a platform, I am the one who gave them a vision for Nairobi. And today look at what we are suffering,” the frustrated woman of the cloth said.

She further complained that the police had assaulted them and taken their personal belongings including phones.

“I have to go to hospital. Nimekunywa pain killers ndio nifike hapa. I have to rush to hospital kuona vile nitabiwa miguu na mikono,” Wanjiru said.

Apparently, those who demolished the church had been send by a senior government official.

“There is a God in Heaven. If the Kenya Kwanza government can dare touch my property, what about the helpless civilians?” Wanjiru questioned. “Where will we go if our own government is fighting us? Where are we going to run?”

The demolishers visited the church on February 10 but couldn’t go on with demolitions because of an ongoing wedding.
