Anini Barasa made headlines when she boldly urged Raila Odinga to stay at home as Kenyans took to the streets to protest about the contentious Finance Bill 2024 on Tuesday.
In her video message, she said that Raila had done enough for the country and it was now time for the younger generation to represent him and come out in large numbers to fight for their rights
” Agwambo this is a message to you.Usitoke. Don’t come. Please stay at home. We saw your efforts, everything you did for Kenya..now let us,” she said as she beat her chest.
“We miss you but don’t even come tunatoka on your behalf.”
Raila welcomed her message saying he was a proud father.
In an interview with Citizen TV on Wednesday morning, Anini said that she was so happy because people were coming out in large numbers to protest peacefully.
” Kwanza nimejawa na furaha riboribo. Everyone is coming out everyone is realizing that tunaibiwa. As a nations, Iam so happy that we are realizing that we need to be out here. The people that we elected, clearly this government is not for the people.
“Kitu inanipea nguvu kuendelea ni support from the people, my fans, every single gen z out here, I am representing you na mnanisaidia sana. Leo tunapatana 12 huko nje ya parliament,” she said.
