The vibrant Garissa town member of parliament Aden Duale almost ruined deputy president William Ruto’s tour in the United States of America (USA).
According to the Citizen Weekly, Aden Duale was forced to cut short his trip abroad after he bitterly disagreed with William Ruto and other party officials over the UDA nominations.
The Garissa member of parliament was amongst the delegation that accompanied the deputy president in his 14 days tour to the USA, UK and Qatar.
Unlike the other leaders who finished their trip, Aden Duale who could not see eye to eye with Ruto abroad decided to cut short his trip and sneaked into the country last Sunday. Infact, the Garissa MP held his ground and attempts to resolve these issues abroad were futile
“Duale was missing in the UK on Monday and Tuesday amid concerns on his whereabouts. Those close to him said he was unhappy with the issue of UDA nominations and decided to cut short his trip there and flew directly to Kenya.” Reported Citizen Weekly.
There are even fears within the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) that Aden Duale may defect to Azimio friendly parties because he cannot stomach the things going on in UDA. Of late, the Garissa MP has been skipping key political meetings by William Ruto which was not the case prior to visiting the United States.Â
He was also conspicuously absent at the Thika stadium where Ruto and his inner brigades held one of the biggest political meetings after coming back from abroad.
“We fear he may even defect to other parties like Jubilee.” said the source which revealed that Ruto is getting worried and is planning to hold a crisis meeting with the former majority leader.
“Insiders said the main concern was the decision to allow his Garissa county woman representative Anab Gure to defect to UDA from Jubilee. The two are sworn enemies in the party and Garissa.” Added the local daily.
“He is in Nairobi and does not want to be known he is around. We understand the DP plans to meet him as soon as he lands in the city for talks.” It continued.
