Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has released form one admission results for students who sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) in 2023.
While releasing the placement results on Monday, December 18, Machogu noted that parents can easily access and download the results online.
“Thanks to the advancements in technology and the Ministry’s full adoption of digital systems, the process has undergone a significant transformation. Nowadays, a candidate can find out where they have been placed with a click of a button as soon as the results are announced,” Machogu stated.
“Automation has thus enhanced efficiency, transparency, and accountability of the Form One selection and placement process. It is therefore easier to track and audit the decisions made, ensuring that they are based on merit, equity, student preferences,
and the availability of school spaces. I, therefore, urge all parents and guardians to take advantage of this system to download their letters online without having to depend on any middlemen,” he added.
How to Check
According to the Ministry of Education, parents and candidates can check the placement results using two options.
“Form One admission results can be accessed by visiting the Ministry of Education portal: education.go.ke or kemis.education.go.ke,” the Ministry of Education stated.
Search for; education.go.ke/form-one-selection. Select Form One Selection
Click on Access Form One Placement: link 1 or Access Form One Placement: link 2.
This will show the results of the admission.
On the KEMIS website, proceed to search Form One placements under the page 2024 Form One Selection and Placement.
Enter the student’s index number and name and click on search.
Following the release of placement results, CS Machogu announced that school fees for the 2024 academic year will remain unchanged.
” I wish to state that the boarding fees charged in public secondary schools will remain unchanged in 2024. Schools will
continue to receive funds based on accurate enrolment data submitted by principals through the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS),” Machogu announced.
