Nandi Hills member of parliament Alfred Keter has exposed Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen with regards to DP Ruto being at the ICC.
According to Alfred Keter, Kipchumba Murkomen was fully involved in issuing names of the deputy president so that he could fix him at the international court.
The Nandi Hills legislator further revealed that Murkomen was working with Stephen Sang to give out the names of journalist Joshua Sang and the second in command.
“It was Kipchumba Murkomen and Stephen Sang who gave the names of Henry Kosgey, William Ruto and Joshua Sang to ICC…and I can say it on national TV I can say it anywhere” – Said Alfred Keter amidst the cheering crowd.
William Ruto and Joshua Sang were charged with crimes against humanity ranging from murder, deportation or forcible transfer of population, and persecution committed during the 2007-2008 post-election violence in Kenya.
However, the ICC Case against DP Ruto and Mr. Arap Sang was terminated on 5 April 2016 after the Judges declined to confirm the charges .
As a result,The International Criminal Court threw out the case against Kenyan Deputy President William Ruto since there was insufficient evidence.
In a split ruling, one judge declared it a mistrial because of a “troubling incidence of witness interference and intolerable political meddling”.

Mr Ruto denied murder, deportation and persecution charges during violence that followed the 2007 elections in which about 1,200 people were killed.
On his side, President Uhuru Kenyatta welcomed the ruling, saying the trial had been a “nightmare” for the nation.
In the meantime, lawyer Paul Gicheru while making his first appearance before the International Criminal Court (ICC) denied all charges labelled against him.
Gicheru is among the three Kenyans whom the international court had been looking for interfering with its witnesses in the cases against humanity.
The Eldoret based lawyer shocked Kenyans last year after he presented himself voluntarily to ICC , saying that his step was not influenced by anybody.
The court took Gicheru through the six accounts that he is facing for tampering with its witnesses by influencing them to change their mind.
Gicheru appeared via a video-link technology from the Court’s Detention Centre, a move prompted by the coronavirus.
The first account was being the first co-perpetrator or for solicitation or inducement of the crime of influencing a witness by corruptly paying witness P397 Sh1 million and offering the witness Sh5 million in exchange for the witness to withdraw as ICC prosecution witness.
The court alleged that Gicheru committed the offense from April 2013 to January 2014 in Eldoret.
