Who was equally loved and hated has united Kenyans for a drive aimed at giving him a befitting send-off.
This generous outpouring of support was led by Chira’s close friend and fellow content creator, Baba Talisha. Within just 48 hours of initiating the fundraising campaign, reports indicated that the fund drive had reached a staggering Sh5million and some change.
Faustine, better known as Baba Talisha, shared a screenshot with the caption ‘5M in it’, signalling the success of the fundraising effort.
The funds are intended to build a house for Chira’s grandmother. This idea emerged when a group of netizens proposed that all the money collected from the fundraiser should be used to construct a decent home for his grandmother.
This suggestion gained momentum after TikToker King Roso offered to cover the funeral expenses, which totalled Sh850,000.
