Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has criticized DP William Ruto’s tour in abroad during Azimio campaigns in Bungoma.
According to Oparanya, DP Ruto is already feeling uneasy as the time for the general election nears and that is the reason he is ‘loitering’ abroad.
“The ripening of Bungoma is what has caused William Ruto to feel uneasy until he has gone to loiter abroad. He has gone to cry there because the pressure is too much. He is complaining that the votes will be rigged,” Oparanya said.
He added that Ruto is just wasting his time instead of looking for votes like the former prime minister is doing.
“He will finish his time there and come back to look for votes like Raila Amollo Odinga is doing,” Oparanya went on.
He also bashed ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi for accompanying DP William Ruto to his trip abroad.
Oparanya implied that there was no serious role that Mudavadi was playing in the trip other than acting as Ruto’s aid.
“He went with our son Musalia Mudavadi now he is the one carrying files for him. What a shame to the Luhyia community.”
“The elders decided that all the Luhyia people will vote for Raila Amollo Odinga,” Oparanya concludes.
Musalia accompanied the second in command to his 10 day trip abroad which began on Sunday.
Others who also accompanied DP Ruto include his wife Rachel, Governor Anne Waiguru, Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Nakuru senator Susan Kihika among others.
The group is away following invitations for diplomatic talks. From the US they will be heading to the United Kingdom and then Qatar.
