Amos Rono, the Bomet man whose wedding never saw the light of day landed a 4-day trip to Mombasa courtesy of Bonfire Adventures.
The trip is intended to relieve him from the pressure and stress that he has been through after his wedding was cancelled the last minute.
Rono now says that he will be ready to love again but in four months time.
“I have come back to my senses and I’m continuing to see something positive happening to me. In three-four months time I will be back in the market again to search for my rib that God has prepared for me,” he after landing the vacation offer.
The trip however came after he decided to officially end things with the woman who would have become his wife Nelly Chepkoech.
While briefing the media, Rono said that he had left her with a clean heart and that she should look for another husband.
“I have left her, and I hope that she does well in life or looks for another husband. I forgive her, and in the instance that she says she wants to reconcile, I have left her with a clean heart,” he said.
Nelly on the other hand has maintained a low profile after the break-up, although she previously hoped that their wedding will push through.
She had also denied claims of being responsible for the cancellation of the wedding.
“I have not run away. Everyone was in tears, but some people are hurt. We were told the wedding had been postponed. We had planned the wedding since March this year. The reverend said we wait for the day. I am ready for the day that will be set,” the 23-year old said.
The pastor who was to preside over the wedding as well as her would be husband however said that she been reluctant to proceed with the wedding and wanted more time to reconsider things.
