Comedian and radio host Jalang’o led other celebrities in paying tribute to one of their own Othuol Othuol who passed two weeks after a long struggle with Tuberculosis.
Villagers, artists, and relatives gathered in Ndere Village, Siaya County to pay last respect to Churchill Show comedian Ben Maurice Omondi commonly known as Othuol Othuol.
Artists led by Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o eulogized Othuol as a stubborn but talented person adding that the Othuol was like a son to him.
“When he came to Nairobi, he said that he wanted to be like me and I gave him the platform,” said Jalan’go.
Othuol’s aunt Rose Apondi said the late comedian began making people laugh while he was still in primary school.
“He went to Nzoia Primary School when he was nicknamed Othuol because his waist was small. He started making people laugh when he was in Class Four,” Apondi eulogized him.
The funeral was full of light with fellow artists taking to the stage to dance Luo Ohangla, “Kanungo” which late Othuol loved most to celebrate the life of their departed colleague.
