DPP Noordin Haji on Tuesday, August ordered the arrest of Migori Governor Okoth Obado together with his two sons, two daughters, and friends for allegedly stealing Ksh 73.5 million from the taxpayers.
Following investigations by the Ethnic and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), the Migori governor was found to have received Ksh 73,474,360 million through his designated proxies and employees of the county government.
In a statement Haji appointed a special team of prosecutors due to the high profile individual involved.
