Hacking Oparanya’s Facebook Comes To Haunt Malala At Night As DCI Punishes Him While Trailing In The Polls

Date:

Former kakamega senator Cleophas Malala was on Monday night arrested by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) officers.

According to reliable sources, Malala’s arrest had nothing to do with politics but because of his earlier move to hack the Facebook account for incumbent governor Oparanya.

“Cleo Malalah has been arrested coz of Oparanya’s hacked Facebook account. They traced the hacking to his House in Milimani , Kakamega County.” Said the source.

Through his official Facebook page, governor Oparanya on Monday morning urged the Kakamega residents to vote for Cleophas Malala of the Amani National Congress.

However, the move left many people confused with others wondering how the governor who has been a staunch Raila supporter would suddenly rally behind Kenya Kwanza’s candidate.

At the same time, the former senator did not find it easy with the hawk eyed Azimio supporters in kakamega who accused him of engaging in voter bribery in order to influence the voters to his advantage.

His main opponent in the Kakamega gubernatorial race Fernandes Barasa even complained that there were a lot of voter bribery incidents in Matungu and several other places in the county.

“What we have seen is a lot of voter bribery. My opponent Cleophas Malala has been bribing voters in various polling stations. That is an election offense and I want to urge IEBC and all security agencies to make sure they take action so that people can vote in a free and fair manner without any intimidation,” the ODM candidate told the media.
