The Virginia Walmart Store shooting sadly claimed the life of a 16-year-old victim.
The attack also claimed the lives of Tyneka Johnson, Lorenzo Gamble, Brian Pendleton, Kellie Pyle, and Randall Blevins, according to the city department.
Due to his age, the police are hiding the teen’s name. Four other patients were hospitalized after the shooting at Chesapeake Walmart store.
It’s still unknown which of the deceased may have been a customer or a staff member.
Early on Wednesday, the police identified Andre Bing, 31, as the shooter. Since 2010, he had worked for Walmart as an evening team lead, Walmart revealed.
Bing was apparently carrying a single weapon and several magazines when he was discovered. According to the city and police, he was wearing regular clothes and was not wearing any armor or a ballistic vest.
The break room of the shop was where three of the dead were discovered. Police said Bing was found deceased at the site from what they suspect to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The first 911 call was made at 10:14 p.m. ET on Monday, according to police, and they got there two minutes later. By 11:20 p.m., the officers had formally left the store after entering it around 10:16.
Police are still trying to find out more information about the shooting suspect’s past and any potential motives.
