Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza was greatly humiliated by the Members of the County Assembly(MCAs) on Wednesday afternoon.
Kawira arrived at the Assembly for its official opening and to deliver her address but things did not turn out as expected.
At first, the MCAs attempted to block her from entering the Assembly to address them.

After a brief stand-off, the governor managed to enter the Assembly and issue her address. However calm did not last long as all the MCAs walked out on her while singing solidarity forever but Mwangaza continued with her speech.

Mwangaza has found herself in trouble for allegedly refusing to listen to MCAs and being respectful towards them. Some claim that she has ignored the local leaders and only listens to her husband.
Mwangaza was elected governor in the August 9 general elections on an independent ticket. She beat Kiraitu Murungi and UDAs Mithika Linturi to clinch the position.
