Since Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya party leader Moses wetangula joined William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA), the two have been following Ruto like their parents everywhere he goes.
According to our source within the UDA, leaders allied to the deputy president are unhappy with the fact that Musalia Mudavadi has been coalescing around William Ruto like a tick. They feel that the ANC boss only joyrides in the crowd pulled by the second in command.
These leaders feel that Mudavadi’s habit of following Ruto everywhere is very inconsequential politically since that is what all the other average politicians had been doing prior to the arrival of the ANC boss.
As a result, circles within the deputy president’s circle revealed that there have been plans to have Musalia Mudavadi and Moses wetangula go out alone to campaign without necessarily accompanying Ruto.
The source argued that this move is meant to create a perception that these two Mulembe leaders can also attract crowds on their own.
This explains why the Amani national Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula on Tuesday traversed parts of Nairobi such as Westlands and Kangemi. Clearly, the absence of William Ruto was very loud because the rallies were boring and not entertaining like when he would have been there.
The two Mulembe Nation leaders were accompanied by other politicians such as Garissa Town member of parliament Aden Duale, Nairobi senator Johnson sakaja, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, former LSK president Nelson Havi, Mathira member of parliament Rigathi Gachagua, Kikuyu member of Parliament Kimani Ichungwa, former Machakos senator Johnson Muthama, nominated senator Millicent Omanga and Samidoh’s wife Karen Nyamu amongst others.
According to Musalia, opposition leader Raila odinga and president Uhuru had failed the country for the many years they have been in office, hence, he urged Kenyans to reject project Raila Odinga and instead choose an outsider in government like deputy president William Ruto to inject fresh blood into the presidency.
The ANC and Ford Kenya party leader a few weeks ago shocked Kenyans after his earthquake turned out to be a political deal between him and the deputy president.
However, things did not g well as planned after the other One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals Steven Kalonzo Musyoka, KANU chairman Gideon Moi and their friend literally walked out in protest after learning that Mudavadi secretly invited DP Ruto to the ANC Convention.
Strangely, former Machakos senator Johnson Muthama on Monday dismissed the coalition deal between ANC, Ford Kenya and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
According to Johnson Muthama, there has never been any formal agreement between deputy president William Ruto, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi.
Muthama’s sentiments are contradictory to what the ANC leader and Ford Kenya leader have been telling Kenyans that they decided to work together formally.
At the same time, Muthama urged the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party not to be worried since there was no existing coalition with the two Luhya leaders, hence rendering their alleged previous agreement with Ruto useless.
In the meantime, there was a stand off during UDA campaigns in Westlands, Nairobi after Bishop Margaret Wanjiru and Senator Johnson Sakaja engaged in an altercation.
The stand off began after Margaret Wanjiru was shouted down by the crowd as she gave her remarks and instead of turning her anger on the crowd, the Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant decided to direct all her energy to the Nairobi senator.
According to Sonko News reporters on the ground, Wanjiru without providing any evidence accused Sakaja of inciting the crowd against her.
To discipline the rogue Nairobi senator, the female bishop decided to land on him with some slaps that he will live to remember on these streets.
