DP Rigathi Gachagua has supported the move by president William Ruto to dismiss his cabinet secretaries.
Speaking during the commissioning of Kipsoen Technical and Vocational College in Elgeyo Marakwet, Gachagua urged his boss to focus on appointing competent CSs.
“We fully support you for the bold decision to dismiss your cabinet secretaries so that you can appoint new ones to help you in your role.
“Appoint CSs who have no pride, those who don’t engage in politics and those who are not corrupt. That will help you to deliver to the people,” Gachagua said.
On the other hand, Ruto, who also present at the event, said that he would work with all Kenyans in rebuilding the government.
“Going forward, we are going to work as Kenyans making sure that we harness every opportunity, talent and capability so that we build our economy, create jobs, manage our debt, deal decisively with corruption and make sure Kenya marches forward.”
“You all saw what I did this week so that I remake this government well. This will allow us to unite Kenya,” the head of state said.
Ruto send packing his cabinet secretarieson Thursday this week, leaving only the prime CS Musalia Mudavadi, who doubles up as Foreign affairs CS.
