Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi on Thursday claimed that deputy president William Samoei Ruto’s Davis Chirchir was arrested under mysterious circumstances.
According to Itumbi, Chirchir was arrested at the Bomas of Kenya where the vote tallying is currently undergoing.
“UDA Communications Director Wanjohi Githae and DP @WilliamRuto Chief Of Staff Davis Chirchir ARRESTED/KIDNAPPED at BOMA.” He wrote.
However, new details emerged from the Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen who dismissed blogger Itumbi’s claims as mere lies meant to incite the Kenya Kwanza supporters.
In fact, Murkomen made it clear that Chirchir was very fine and that he was at the Bomas of Kenya and not arrested as alleged by the blogger.
On their sides, kenyans castigated blogger Itumbi as they accused him of not only trying to divert people’s attention but also propelling the drums of war. Below are what Kenyans said:
“Denis Itumbi is good in bringing confusion so that the country does not focus on the ills happening in the IEBC servers. These guys have been accused of hacking the portal and its unfortunate that they sent Itumbi to disrupt the attention of Kenyans.”
“We knew your control mechanism. This thing is gone. Now you have resorted to this. Where is the freedom?”
“Good tindings opposition kabisa ? wakati wa sympathy votes is gone tuko counting amka..DIVERSIONARY tactics. FOCUS on BOMAS people!!! wachana na Itumbi propaganda. Team Azimio focus on Bomas.”
“We are happy Baba is leading Us we can’t fight .You have started tension pande ya Ruto for your incitement. I hear Bomet the road is blocked , stoning passengers.”
“Whatever mischief you guys were trying to hack IEBC system has been stopped you are so desperate for power…useless beings.Baba is still the 5th zoeni mapema”
“Let them face the law.wanefanya chibukati kurudia the whole process.the results we see in tvs will not work now”
“This are effects of hard drugs. How do you go on a national television to make such a careless statement. You are neither the UDA communication director or their spokesperson.”
