Detectives in Nyali, Mombasa county are hunting for a foreigner believed to have murdered a 25-year-old woman by pushing her off the balcony.
The foreigner is believed to have thrown the woman from the balcony of their Sunny Side Apartment on Monday, October 4, at around 3 am. The suspect is said to have fled the scene after committing the offense.
“A guard at the apartment was on the beat walking around his area of assignment when he heard delirious screams of a woman from the skies, followed by loud bang meters from where he was standing,” the DCI said.
After the security officer discovered the body of the woman lying in a pool of blood, he informed the apartment’s janitors who identified her.
“Together, they visited the scene and established that the lifeless body belonged to a 25-year-old woman, who had earlier in the night been invited to room A10, by a man named Muyanga Suleiman,” the detectives added.
On checking the room, the janitor and the security guards found the door wide open and the suspect nowhere to be found.
The DCI believes that the woman and the foreigner were having an intimate relationship.
The detective processed the scene of the crime and the lady’s body was moved to the morgue.
The sleuths are still investigating the matter as they continue with the search for the suspect.
The incident comes hours apart after a couple in Mtwapa, Kilifi County reportedly jumped from their fifth flow apartment after they were involved in a fight.
Lucy Nyokabi, 23, and her boyfriend identified as Rastaman reportedly jumped from their bedroom’s balcony at 3 am. The boyfriend is said to be the first to jump to his death then Nyokabi followed.
